What changes at checkout
An onchain payment is approved in the customer's wallet and confirmed by a blockchain. The merchant presents a request or QR, but does not handle the customer's private key or initiate the transfer on their behalf.
What the merchant should verify
Use a specific payment request with the correct merchant, amount and network. Wait for FRENT to verify the confirmed transaction instead of relying on a wallet screenshot or unconfirmed hash.
Operational boundaries
FRENT currently accepts configured native USDC on Base and Polygon. It does not provide fiat conversion, banking settlement, accounting, inventory management or managed refunds. Merchants should define their own receipt, refund, accounting and treasury processes around the onchain record.
Start with Merchant onboarding or compare the networks in Choosing Base or Polygon.
