Never disclose recovery credentials
FRENT support never needs a private key, seed phrase or recovery code. Anyone with those credentials can control the wallet. Store recovery material offline and follow the wallet provider's security guidance.
Review every signature
A FRENT login is a message signature and does not cost gas. Terminal deployment, token approval and payment are onchain transactions. Check the domain, selected network, destination contract and displayed values before approving.
Merchant practices
Use the wallet intended to receive settlement before deploying a terminal because the merchant address is immutable. Consider separating day-to-day payment receipt from unrelated high-value holdings, and keep sufficient—but limited—native gas currency available.
Customer practices
Open checkout from the merchant-provided QR or signed link. Confirm the merchant, amount and network. Do not approve an unlimited or unrelated action that does not match the expected USDC flow.
