Supported settlement asset
FRENT POS is designed for native USDC on Base and Polygon. Each terminal is configured with one exact USDC contract address. A token with a similar name, ticker or bridged origin is not accepted as proof for that terminal.
Amount precision
USDC uses six decimal places. The merchant enters a familiar USD amount, and FRENT records the corresponding integer token units. Verification requires the exact amount encoded in the request.
What USDC does not remove
USDC is the payment asset, but blockchain gas is paid in the network's native currency: ETH on Base and POL on Polygon. FRENT does not bridge, swap or convert assets for the payer, and it does not convert merchant USDC to fiat.
Before paying, confirm the network, supported USDC balance and gas balance. Read Choosing Base or Polygon when both are available.
Article FAQ
Common questions.
Can I pay with USDT or another stablecoin?
No. The current POS verifies only the configured native USDC contract on Base or Polygon.
Does FRENT convert USDC to a bank payout?
No. Settlement remains onchain in the merchant wallet.
